Johanna GB Jackson

Morgan Stanley Mindfulness

Johanna is a first generation American.  As both a student and teacher of human potential, her personal mantra is to be the best original version of her individual self in everything she does.  She is a native of Wilmington, DE, but her family is originally from Chile. She is honored to be the parent to a beautiful daughter named Grace and a handsome buff tabby cat named Oscar.

Johanna is a Portfolio Associate for Morgan Stanley in the Greenville, Delaware branch.  She is also a Registered Corporate Coachâ„¢ through the Worldwide Association of Business Coachesâ„¢ (WABCâ„¢). Johanna has spent the last 25 years in a corporate setting sharing her gifts and talents.  She has been coaching individuals for 19 years.  She loves helping others stretch beyond their predetermined limits all while inviting more joy in their lives.  She is a featured blogger on Morgan Stanley’s internal social networking
website known as Jive.  She has also co-chaired and sat on various councils that acted as a two-way feedback channel between the service organization and managers.

She was Head of Operations for two years of the global MS Mindfulness at Morgan Stanley. She is now a regular facilitator for them and the liaison for the global mindfulness networks.  MS Mindfulness offers resources and classes for busy employees by colleagues who are seasoned mindfulness teachers that also understand the stresses of working in the Financial Industry.  The club’s global footprint includes participation from all across the US, Paris, India, Montreal, London, Mexico, Tokyo, Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Hong Kong and it is continuously growing.  She has experienced the profound effects meditation has in her own life and is eager to share the practice with as many people as possible. She knows how powerful meditation can be, and she wants others to sleep more soundly, live with less stress or anxiety, and enjoy a deep quality of living that only meditating can provide. She helps individuals begin their journey to developing a meditation
practice. She guides and supports them in their meditation practice to help them maintain and deepen it.

Johanna was also very involved in her community through her animal welfare work as a co-founder and past two term board president of one of the top no-kill animal shelters in Delaware from 2000 to 2010. She also co-founded, chaired and participated on numerous state-wide animal welfare committees as well as an animal- agency coalition.  Johanna along with Grace are currently volunteering for a local cat group.
